Beaches & Beach Clubs Town beach The town beach which is pebbled is is approximately 300 metres from the house on the eastern side of the harbour. It offers safe bathing for all ages although it can shelve off quite steeply in some places so care is recommended. Sun beds and umberellas are available for a small charge. It is well served for refreshments from either the town run cafe at its center or from the numerous private restaurants and bars at the harbour end. Kaputas Beach Kaputas lies approximately 8 Km east of Kalkan and can be reached by car, taxi or local Dolmus (minibus). There is some limited parking with refreshments served from a roadside cabin and access to the beach is via steep steps Kalamar Beach Club +90 (0) 242 844 30 61 Located in Kalamar bay approximately 2 km from the Town House this is one of our favourite spots. The beach club is terraced down to crystal clear turquoise water and has everything one could want for a relaxing day. A great way to spend a lazy beach day. Give them a call and they will collect you from the Townhouse and take you to the beach club. Once there you will be provided with a sun lounger, cushions and umbrella and all the service you could want. The happy and friendly staff will take care of your needs and the lunches are terrific. When you have had enough they will take you home again. The cost of the collect/return and lounger is YTL 10 per day. Activities & Watersports Horse Riding For the best horse riding experience visit Patara and ride along the miles of golden sand of Patara Beach renowned for it Loggerhead turtles. Scuba Diving There are a number of qualified diving schools in both Kalkan and Kas. Our recommendation goes to Kalkan Dive Centre. Sailing & Boat Rental In Kalkan habour you can rent small motor boats or hire a skippered day boat such as a Gulet. Water Skiing Water skiing is available from Patarta resort or Kalamar Beach Club
